I remember a time with games where fun. Not just enjoyable, but actually fun. Grin inducing, giggling, invite your friends over for a marathon fun. These days games are much more dire, but there is hope in the form of the spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie.
Gamescom brought with it a new trail for Yooka-Laylee, the crowd funded gem that’s being produced from many of the original designers of the Banjo games. Every time I see this game it’s looking better and better. The bright colors, the cheerful mascot like characters and the inventive and winding world you interact with brings me back to a time when exploration and fun where the top priorities.
This game looks like it’s going to be a blast with transformations, clever power ups, and characters that invite interaction. Slap a most wanted sticker on this one, it’s shaping up to be a winner.
