Straight out of the 90’s, Crash Bandicoot is a long time favorite for many Playstation fans, with good reason. Crash Bandicoot offered fun, arcade style platforming and ridiculous at a time when games were beginning to get a lot more serious.
Announced officially a few months back, the Crash Bandicoot Trilogy had yet to be shown. Now, we’re treated with some precious b roll of the salty dog himself, and it’s looking fabulous. Vigorous thrusting, provocative eyebrow rustling, and dizzying spins are all intact, preserving that 90’s nostalgia we’re all drooling for (except for you, kiddo).
This is a game that I, personally, am very excited about. 3D platforming games have all but died with rare releases for the genre generally only being put aside for cheap mobile games and preschooler movie tie ins. It’s good to see the platforming genre making a comeback, what with the announcement of a new Mario for the Switch, Yooka Layla on the horizon, and now Crash himself making a splash on current gen systems.
Can we get a proper sequel to Mario 64 now, please?
